Wow, 2018! It's that time of year where we honor the year that just passed and all of the learning and growth and good times and bad and look forward with hope and possibility to the year ahead. We are just cracking open the first pages of a 365 day book.... what kind of adventures await?? Well, we can certainly get you started because we have a wonderful month ahead! But first... let's honor the past year.

2017 year in review! 
In 2017 we had more people than ever on their mats, taking care of themselves mind and body. It is just incredible to see this community thrive and the support of this small town studio is a reminder of the impact we can have. Here are a few interesting facts about MYS in 2017:

# of local people who completed Moksha L1 training and now teach at our studio: 4
# of yoga teachers who taught at MYS: 32

You've been asking and now it's almost here! Our next 30 Day Challenge starts on January 22nd! Let's commit to 30 days of practice and see what happens! The sticker board going up and is waiting for YOU to put your name on it!

anniversary celebration!! free classes all weekend!'s hard to believe it, but we are coming up on 4 years under new ownership and 9 years of Moksha Yoga in Stratford! We want to celebrate with YOU and our whole community! We will have FREE classes and celebrations January 20th and 21st! Invite your friends, family, and co workers and show them what it is you are doing when you sneak out with your mat everyday! We will have free classes available to everyone!
Pre registration on this weekend is highly recommended.

new non heated yoga sculpt class
Oh man, this is exciting. We are introducing a NEW and exciting class to our non-heated studio room! It's called "Yoga Sculpt" and it will be taught primarily by the lovely Renee! She has years of experience teaching this style of class, in fact you could say it's her specialty! What you can expect in this class is a yoga class that combines the use of light hand weights to kick up the strength training a notch! If you love Barre you will love this. If you are a prenatal mama looking for a safe and low impact but challenging workout, you will love this (pssst, Renee is a pre natal mama herself!). If you don't love the heat but you want a challenging workout you will love this. If you are looking to kick your regular practice up a notch, you will love this. If you love yoga you will love this. If you have a body you will love this!!!!!! Check it out! This class will start on Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm (followed by a 7pm yang/yin in the hot room??? A GREAT double!). We start January 17th. Pre registration is recommended as spots are very limited. Your first Yoga Sculpt class is FREE!

prenatal yoga have had a ton of requests for a new 6 week session of prenatal yoga! We will start our next session on Wednesday February 7th at 7pm. We will require a minimum of 5 pre registered prior to February 1st in order to run this session and there are only 10 spots available. Please pre register asap.
Prenatal yoga classes run in  6 week sessions and the cost is $75 for all 6 weeks!
(included in Moksha Membership)

workshop: it's all in the hips
Workshop: It's all in the Hips with Roderick Spence.
In this 2 hour workshop Roderick will break down some of the best postures to help ease hip pain or problems and also show how to use blocks and props to modify postures for those with injury. He will discuss functional movement and common issues and will then apply that knowledge to the physical postures. This workshop will be a mixture of discussion and asana practice. This workshop will be beneficial to anyone looking to deepen their practice.

PEPPERMINT: adaptive • invigorating • cooling

How to USE
•Place one drop of Peppermint oil in the palm of your hand, add one drop of Wild Orange essential oil and one drop of Frankincense essential oil, and inhale. This simple aromatic recipe is perfect for a mid day pick me up.
•Diffuse 2 drops of Peppermint, 3 drops of Grapefruit, and 2 drops of Sandalwood for a cooling, invigorating, grounding vapor.
•Place 2 drops of Peppermint in your hand with a tblsp of unscented body lotion for a soothing, cooling effect on sore muscles.
•Add 4 drops of Peppermint to your shampoo for a stimulating + pampering hair massage
•Pest problems? No problem. Place 1-3 drops of Peppermint essential oil to a cotton ball and position them in the corners of your home where those unwanted bugs and spiders may be.
•Bad breath? Gargle 1 drop of Peppermint essential oil with water to freshen your mouth
•To combat headaches apply 1 drop of Peppermint to the temples, above the ears + the back of your neck-dilute with a carrier oil such as Coco oil to connect with a larger surface area
•Emotional balance: Use aromatically and topically to go from Hindered-Invigorated

Place 1 drop of Peppermint EO in your hands-take an inhale to the bottom of your lungs and feel your airways open.
Place 1 drop on the top corner of your mat to experience the uplifting benefits as you move through an invigorating flow practice.
Rub 1 drop + 1 tblsp of carrier oil into your shoulders for a sweet massage post practice.
